Use in the low temperature range down to -25 °C

As the successor to the UFA series, the ultrasonic sensors in Waycon's UFA2 series offer improved linearity (<0.4 % compared to <1 %) with the same measuring range of 20 to 200 mm.

Unlike their predecessors, the UFA2 sensors can also be used in the low temperature range down to -25 °C.

The nickel-plated brass housing with M12 thread enables quick installation and protection class IP67. The ultrasonic sensors are available as distance sensors with analog output (0 to 10 V/4 to 20 mA switchable) or as proximity switches with switching output (NPN/PNP, normally closed/ normally open switchable).

According to Waycon, two variants are available: with the focus beam variant, the sound beam of the sensor is particularly narrow, allowing the sensor to measure in narrow tubes such as bottle necks. In the chemical-resistant variant (CP), the membrane of the sensor is coated with a thin PTFE film and the front is protected with a PVDF attachment. This makes the front part of the sensor resistant to most chemicals.

In addition to these variants, the standard version can also be fitted with the radial beam accessory. This deflects the sound beam by 90° and eliminates the blind area.
