Baumer for SPS Connect
Detects the smallest objects down to 0.05 mm
The optical O200 miniature sensors with focused laser light beam from Baumer enable even greater precision in the detection of the smallest differences in position, gaps and small parts such as individual wires or the finest threads with a diameter of just 0.05 mm.
The sensors work reliably even under the influence of strong ambient light such as LED lighting, machine reflections or mutual interference from other sensors.
Thanks to their unique range of 180 mm, the laser variants with background suppression are suitable for pinpoint detection of the smallest objects in material feeding or the electrical industry, for example. Maximum reproducibility is ensured by a minimum jitter of less than 20 μs, which enables high-precision triggering. Thanks to the extra power reserves (high-power mode), they also detect deep black or angled objects at distances of up to 180 mm.
In addition to the laser dot variants, the Baumer portfolio offers sensors with a 56 mm long laser line. These sensors detect a much wider area and thus compensate for smaller punched-out areas or holes, such as on printed circuit boards. Laser retro-reflective sensors with single-lens optics can reliably detect objects even through very small openings thanks to the transmitter and receiver beam on one axis.
