Leuze
Two principles in one device
According to the manufacturer, the GSX combination fork sensor from Leuze combines the advantages of the light and ultrasonic versions and is particularly suitable for labeling machines in the packaging industry.
The fork sensor accurately detects a wide variety of labels, regardless of their material and composition.
Even labels made of inhomogeneous cavitated BOPP material can be reliably detected thanks to the optical operating principle.
The fork sensor is particularly suitable for applications in which different types of labels need to be detected. Previously, several different fork sensors were often required for this.
According to the supplier, the new fork sensor can be set up quickly and easily by simply teaching in the label-carrier combination using the teach button.
Only one universal mounting position is required for all objects.
The sensor can be configured via the IO-Link interface, allowing remote teaching or locking of the buttons, for example. In addition, a recipe management system can be used to implement a format changeover when changing rolls.
