I/O modules

Channels can be parameterized as input or output

UR20-8DIO-P-3W-Diag from Weidmüller complements the supplier's 'u-remote' family. With the universal, digital I/O module, each individual channel can be parameterized independently as an input or output.

On the one hand, this offers the advantage that both sensors and actuators can be connected to just one module, thus reducing the number of modules in the I/O station. On the other hand, subsequent changes to the automation can be carried out without major effort by reconfiguring, for example if an actuator is to be removed and an additional sensor installed instead. If only a small number of digital sensors or actuators are used, these can now be integrated into the automation system via a single module. This saves space in the control cabinet and reduces the costs and effort involved in planning, ordering, warehousing and commissioning.
