Sensors - The winners
No smart factory without data. This data is collected by sensors of all kinds. Here are the winners in the sensor technology category.
3rd place - Vega
Vega has developed the flush-mounted Vegapoint 24 point level switch especially for use with very sticky, viscous or abrasive media. It reliably detects even the strongest adhesions and indicates the coverage status with a colored illuminated ring.
Many food and pharmaceutical products have a distinctive texture. Depending on the consistency, the demands on the level measurement technology used in production increase. The Vegapoint 24 is a genuine plug & play sensor. More...
The trophy was accepted by Volker Allgaier, Product Manager at Vega, who highlighted the most outstanding features of the limit switch.
2nd place in the sensor technology category
2nd place - Baumer
When measuring the limit level with the CleverLevel PL20 limit level switch from Baumer, five defined colors of the KingCrown process visualization provide an insight into whether the limit level has been reached, which medium is in the tank or whether there is a fault. Thanks to the 360° LED, this information is visible from anywhere at any time and enables safe processes. The electrical connection made of stainless steel in combination with the visual status display offers robustness and long-term tightness in accordance with Baumer's 'proTect+' tightness concept. Fabian Manger, Product Manager for Process Sensors at Baumer, was delighted to receive the award and gave a live demonstration of how the point level switch works during the presentation.
1st place in the sensor technology category
1st place - Balluff
The portable monitoring system from Balluff consists of the condition monitoring sensor 'BCM', a mobile gateway for data transmission via mobile radio and software for visualizing the data on any end device. It can digitally monitor pumps, fans, motors or machine tools. The condition monitoring sensor provides status data and records vibration, temperature, humidity and ambient pressure. More...
Robert Tilch, Strategic Incubation Manager at Balluff, accepted the trophy and described the special features of the system at the award ceremony.
