A new generation of contactless angle sensors

Contelec has developed a flexible sensor concept for contactless angle sensors that covers many different mechanical and electrical interfaces.

According to Contelec, the new sensors in the Vert-X 26 series are compatible with all commercially available sensors, but unlike these, they consist of a mechanical and an electrical module: The mechanical module with shaft and a choice of plain or ball bearings offers a hole spacing of 32 or 50 mm for mechanical mounting. It is combined with the fully encapsulated electronic module, which allows different plug connectors (AMP MQS 6pole, AMP Superseal 3pole or DTM04/DT04 6pole). The measured values are output as analog current or voltage signals, if desired also fully redundant, or via a digital CANopen or CAN-J1939 interface. The sensors operate with a repeat accuracy of ±1 ° with an independent linearity of ±1 %, optionally ±0.3 %.
