The modular VPN remote maintenance routers in the eWON Flexy series can be used as OPC UA servers.

An OPC UA client - for example a SCADA system, HMI or smartphone app - can address the server in the router via LAN, WAN or the VPN interface. The client can be located in the local network or in a remote network (accessible via the Internet, for example). The VPN router provides the OPC client with the data from the devices connected via Ethernet, MPI or serial, such as PLCs, HMIs or sensors.
