Input systems
Operation like a smartphone
With the CDS1 (Configurable Display Switch), Schurter is launching a new generation of intelligent input systems with capacitive touch technology.
The intuitive operation with a finger swipe, swipe or rotation across the touchscreen is similar to the smartphone principle. The user decides what is displayed or activated by swiping on the round OLED display and the home LED. For example, hard image changes or gentle fade-ins and fade-outs are possible. There is the same freedom for the glass layouts. In addition, the visual appearance can be specifically enhanced with an aluminum trim ring. The input system has an internal mass memory to which all images, graphics and animations can be loaded via a micro USB 2.0 interface. The standard interfaces I2C, SPI or RS232 are available for communication with the machine controller. The input system is mounted on the front panel from the rear. A special mounting ring with screws is available for this purpose. If the supplied O-ring is used, this installation variant achieves IP67 protection, without the O-ring IP40. The device can be configured in plug & play mode.
