The AP05 position indicator from Siko features an inverted backlit LCD as a new element. The illumination ensures that the values for target and actual position can be read even in low ambient light.

In addition to the direction of rotation arrows in the LCD, the position indicator provides user guidance via the two-color status LEDs integrated into the right and left of the housing. These signal the positioning status and simultaneously indicate the required direction of rotation. In addition, the mechanical robustness has been increased by means of a carbon fiber-reinforced housing and a protective cover over the display. The bus-compatible position indicator is available with either an RS485 or CAN interface. Network integration is compatible with the predecessor AP04 as well as with the other bus-compatible Siko position indicators of the current generation - AP10, AP10S and AP10T. Additional interface converters also allow the position indicator to be integrated into a wide range of fieldbus and Ethernet networks, such as Profibus-DP, Profinet IO, Ethernet/IP, Ethercat and Powerlink. The position indicator is designed with a hollow shaft and accepts spindle shafts with a diameter of up to 20 mm.
