Flow rates up to 3300 l/min

SMC has revised the VEX3 3/3-way valve series. The valves are designed for flow rates of up to 3300 l/min and have three switching positions.

As a result, intermediate cylinder stops up to a diameter of 125 mm can be realized if required. The power consumption without operating display is reduced from 1.8 W to 1 W and in the function with operating display from 2.1 W to 1.1 W. At the same time, the external dimensions have been reduced by around 10 % in height and around 5 % in width, depending on the version. According to the manufacturer, the new valves can also be used to implement complex systems without great effort. For example, two valves can be connected to a double-acting cylinder. In this way, up to nine different switching positions - including slow stop or delay - can be realized. In addition to the version with molded-in cable, the valves are also available with L and M sockets including spark extinction and operating indicator. In addition to the previously offered nominal voltages of 6, 12, 24 and 48 V, there are now two further variants with 3 and 5 V voltage. The three optional manual overrides simplify handling, and a non-locking version is still available.
