Easier commissioning

With version 2.2 of the mbConnect24 remote service portal, MB Connect Line presents functions that are designed to simplify the work of PLC programmers and commissioning engineers in particular.

One improvement is the support of multicast communication functions: The control systems on the market and their configuration software usually work according to this principle in order to find the relevant controls during commissioning. However, this is usually limited to the local network. Multicast does not work via layer 3 communication, on which routed VPN connections are based. With the 'SearchoverIP' function, the Remote Service Portal now also offers this simplification for remote access. As soon as the programmer is connected to an industrial router via the portal, the multicast request is forwarded to the router and executed there. In addition to S7 controllers from Siemens, PLCs from Schneider Electric, Rockwell, Beckhoff and Pilz are also supported.
