Emtrion announces the availability of a soft PLC solution in cooperation with logi.cals on all modules.

According to the manufacturer, a soft PLC can be created in just a few steps using a developer kit and the freely available PLC programming solution from logi.cals. The logi.RTS PLC runtime system is first installed in the Linux operating system provided by Emtrion. The logic of the application is programmed using the IEC 61131-3 development environment logi.CAD 3, which is available free of charge for programming controllers in Structured Text (ST). Functions such as content assist, code snippets, refactoring, local history and application test support programming. Additional modules, such as the graphical programming language FBD, can also be purchased. Spidercontrol from Ininet is available as an optional HMI and visualization system. The modules are suitable for industrial applications thanks to their pin compatibility and long-term availability.
