Raspberry Pi
Enables bidirectional data exchange
Hilscher launches distribution of an industrial-grade Raspberry Pi design with real-time Ethernet connection via Amazon.
The netPI device is designed for applications at the edge of converging IT OT networks. It is based on the original Raspberry Pi 3 circuit and Hilscher's multiprotocol network SoC 'netX'. The design is a collaboration between the Raspberry manufacturer Farnell and Hilscher. As a gateway, it integrates as an I/O slave into store floor OT networks such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Ethercat and others and enables bidirectional data exchange with cloud, Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 solutions within modern IT enterprise structures. The netPI ecosystem consists of a secure Linux and the virtualization environment 'Docker', with which users can securely load and run their own or third-party software in the form of encapsulated containers.
