Housing
Manufactured according to customer requirements
The company Elektro-Bauelemente May offers an enclosure for control technology designed according to customer specifications. The customer's specifications were general: a small, compact enclosure with ventilation.
The requirements were selected and implemented with a 'RatiopacPro' housing from Schroff, which is variable in terms of design and interior fittings. The compact design includes a special ventilation system. The case can be used as a desktop case or as a 19-inch slide-in case. The customer wanted a desktop case and required three slots. The actual housing was therefore rotated by 90° and the circuit boards were installed horizontally. The standard housing in this series has a defined space above and below the card cage for ventilation. Due to the 90° rotation, this area was now arranged to the side. A fan was integrated on one side, which blows the cooler ambient air through the horizontally arranged eurocards. At the rear, there are ventilation honeycombs on the left and right for the air inlet (left) and air outlet (right). The right-hand side panel serves as an air baffle for dissipating the heated air. The housing has an EMC-compliant design and is sealed by machined front and rear panels.
