Binder is expanding the 'Harsh Environment Connector' (HEC) with a new mains connector: the 'Series 696' power connector.

It is designed for up to 32 A at a rated voltage of 600 V and is available as a cable and flange connector with 4+PE silver contacts (plug or socket). Made of polyamide with UL-94V-0 classification, the connector is robust and can be attached quickly and securely thanks to its three-point bayonet locking system. A special coupling mechanism prevents misalignment. The mechanical service life is over 1000 mating cycles. According to the supplier, the use of different crimp contacts also ensures a secure, vibration-proof connection. The HEC 696 power and flange connector is dust-tight, protected to IP68/IP69k and can withstand rough treatment, for example in agriculture or the construction industry, where high-pressure cleaning is often used. Other areas of application include traffic and signaling systems, process engineering systems, water purification systems and recycling technology.
