Assemble terminal strips plausibly
The Weidmüller Configurator (WMC) is a software solution that speeds up the selection, project planning and ordering of mounting rail components from the manufacturer's range.
An intelligent plausibility check actively helps with the compilation of the respective terminal strip by preventing and automatically correcting incorrect setups. The software is available as a free download (www.weidmueller.de/configurator). When working with common engineering systems such as 'Eplan Electric P8' or 'Zuken E³ series', for example, the user receives a terminal strip that is designed purely according to electrical functions, but the mechanical accessories are missing. The user now has two options for completing this: Either he searches the engineering system for the appropriate parts or he sends the data to the 'Weidmüller Configurator'. The software then completes the project with the appropriate accessories such as end plates, end brackets and markings. The tool then sends the prepared data records back to the engineering system so that the user can continue working with the complete data record. Only suitably selected accessories can be added to the current configuration. As soon as the right combination has been found, the components can be requested directly from the software - either as individual components or as a pre-assembled complete solution on a top-hat rail, which only needs to be installed in the control cabinet later.
