Working in sensorless mode

The motors in the Romotion series with integrated control electronics from Rotek rely on 'SmartDrive Technology'. This allows sensorless operation without the usual Hall sensors.

The drives cover a power range from 80 to 200 W and are available for nominal voltages of 24 and 48 V. In the sensorless standard version, they can be operated between 400 and 4000-1; according to the supplier, the speed range can be extended in sensor mode. With the 'MotorManager' parameterization software, users can adapt the PID controller to their requirements in addition to standard settings such as speed range, ramps and current limits. For easy commissioning, the drive can be operated from a control panel.
