Twelve common safety functions
Panasonic Electric Works presents servo drives from the 'Minas A6' series as SX with Advanced Safety. The company presents the prototype of a basic version of drive controllers with the twelve most common safety functions and nine integrated and safe inputs and outputs.
The version will be launched at the end of 2018. Following the launch, a full version with a total of 17 safety functions and nine safe inputs and outputs is also planned. The "Minas A6" drive controller series with integrated safety functions meets the safety requirements of the EN 61800-5-2 standard. The company cites the elimination of safety switches, no system stop during maintenance work, no risk to personnel during set-up and commissioning, safe reduced speed and reduced space requirements thanks to the reduction of the run-out and buffer zones as further advantages of Minas A6SX.
