Easily monitor safety brakes
Mayr Antriebstechnik has launched new versions of the Roba-brake-checker and Roba-torqcontrol intelligent modules. Roba-brake-checker is now available in a version for AC voltage.
In a further expansion stage, the module also controls the brake and thus replaces a rectifier. Switching status monitoring and brake control are combined in one device. With the Roba-torqcontrol module (image), the company has developed a solution that enables adaptable braking reactions and allows machines to be brought to a defined standstill - regardless of the respective load status. The intelligent control module changes the braking torque during operation and the current and voltage are specifically influenced. This allows control loops to be set up and movements to be braked intelligently. Roba-brake-checker is an intelligent solution for monitoring the brakes. Both modules are based on the same functional principle. Roba-brake-checker is used exclusively to monitor the brakes, while Roba-torqcontrol also has a monitoring function and can also control brakes. In addition to the switching status, both modules can draw conclusions about temperature, wear and traction or traction reserve.
