The DCS880 series power converters are based on ABB's common drive architecture. If a user is familiar with the operation of a power converter, he can switch between the different drive types - power converter or frequency converter.

The reason: they are equipped with the same control panel and have the same tools and options. The power converter is equipped with the certified 'Safe Torque Off' (STO) function as standard. It offers flexible connection options and can be connected to the Internet of Things. It is also compatible with service solutions such as the service apps for smartphones - 'Drivebase' and 'Drivetune' - which can be used to optimize and maintain drive performance. The power converter can be integrated into the 'ABB zenon' software for the manufacturing industry in order to record, analyze, visualize and manage production data.
