Use in hazardous areas

With the IS-TH1, i.safe Mobile is launching a hand-held barcode scanner for use in hazardous areas and industrial environments in the non-hazardous area.

The development incorporates Zebra's scanning technology and was developed for two ranges: a mid-range variant for scans up to 6 m and an extended-range variant for scans over 15 m. Zebra OEM imager scan engines are used for data capture. In combination with the 'IS530.x', the handheld barcode scanner becomes a multifunctional mobile device. It must be connected to the smartphone for use and does not require Bluetooth or a separate battery thanks to this connection. Power and data are generated by the IS530.x with 13-pin ISM interface as if via a mobile computer and processed at top speed.

The scanner can scan shrink-wrapped, dirty or uncleanly printed codes or codes on a picking list, as well as barcodes located far away on high storage shelves. It has an additional LED display, loudspeaker and a vibration alarm.
