In IO-Link mode, Contrinex cloud sensors support predictive maintenance, among other things. By activating an IO-Link parameter, different types of data can be output from the respective 16-bit register for display and live monitoring. System alarms can also be set to various threshold values. One, two or dynamic teach-in sequences are available for configuring the switching point. The reaction to threshold values depends on the choice of configuration mode (single-point, window or two-point) in accordance with the SSP 3.3 profile.

Used as binary sensors in SIO mode, basic Boolean operations (AND, OR), teach-in, its synchronization with other sensors and histogram data acquisition can also be triggered by other signal sources by setting one of the IO pins as an input. The sensors also send binary output signals directly to the controller during operation in IO-Link mode.
