Reliably measure even flat objects

With the CMS 700i, Leuze electronic offers a 3D contour measuring system that is based on the 'CML 730i' measuring light curtains and can be customized.

The complete system includes all components under one article number: the control cabinet, fastening elements and connection technology. It measures the contour and position of any objects, regardless of their shape and surface properties. Even flat objects such as polybags can be measured precisely without installing a camera. The minimum dimensions for height, width and length are 5 mm × 50 mm × 50 mm. The object information allows, for example, the loading of a pallet or the optimization of incoming goods, while at the same time bulges or protrusions of the object are reliably detected, which could lead to problems or system downtime during automated storage.

The intuitive WebConfig simplifies commissioning and remote maintenance by the customer. Thanks to the Ethernet TCP/IP or Profinet interface, integration of the CMS 700i from Leuze is guaranteed. Peripheral data, for example from scales or barcode scanners, can be collected by the system via an open Ethernet interface and looped through with a time stamp.
