Enlighted offers a digital IoT system for commercial real estate. The platform consists of multifunctional sensors, distributed computing, a dedicated network and software applications. At the heart of Enlighted's platform are smart sensors that can be installed in any lighting fixture and securely transmit data to the cloud. They collect data 65 times per second to detect environmental and occupancy changes and adapt the lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) to new conditions in real time. Ultimately, the Enlighted platform, in combination with Siemens solutions, can improve the energy efficiency of HVAC systems.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2018. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details. Enlighted will operate as an independent company and wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Industry.
