Fraba Group
Increased revenue and expanded production capacity
The Fraba Group, a manufacturer of sensors for industrial motion control, looks back on a successful 2025, a year in which both revenue and headcount increased.
The Fraba Group’s revenue for the 2025 fiscal year, which ended on December 31, rose by 7% year-over-year to 46 million euros. The number of employees also rose to nearly 400, primarily due to the increased workforce at the Group’s production facility in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This facility, designed for large-scale production, meets the growing demand for Wiegand components as well as Posital’s kit encoders and tilt sensors. Production has also begun on a smaller scale in China.
A key development in 2025 was the establishment of Fraba India, headquartered in Pune, India. This is a dedicated sales and customer service branch that builds on Posital’s 25 years of experience in India and supports the existing sales network. It is designed to optimize supply chains and improve technical support for companies operating in the fields of automation and motion sensing. Christian Leeser, CEO and majority shareholder of Fraba, explains: “India is a dynamic and expanding market. By establishing a direct presence, we can serve our customers even more efficiently, seize new opportunities, and contribute to strengthening regional innovation.”
The Fraba Group continues to invest heavily in Wiegand technologies. The new ASIC module from the Ubito brand, designed for event detection and counting applications, has proven itself as a solution for multiturn encoders. This chip can be powered by the energy generated by a Wiegand sensor and serves as part of a self-sufficient counting system that eliminates the need for backup batteries.
“Achieving growth and maintaining stable operations amid trade uncertainties and supply chain disruptions was a major accomplishment,” Leeser emphasizes. “I am very proud of how our employees have handled challenges such as disruptions in the supply of rare-earth magnets. We believe that our combination of cutting-edge technologies, global reach, and responsiveness to emerging markets—such as advanced robotics—provides a solid foundation for continued success.”
