Angle measurement in the smallest space

Thanks to their housing depth of just 6 mm and a housing diameter of 16.4 mm, the hollow-shaft conductive plastic potentiometers in the 'MHP16' series from Megatron are particularly suitable as position indicators in motor valves and actuators.

The shaft diameter is only 2 mm. The conductive plastic potentiometers offer an electrically effective angle of rotation of 320° (±5°), a mechanical angle of rotation of 360° and an almost infinite resolution with ±2% independent linearity. According to the supplier, the multi-finger stainless steel slider guarantees a stable analog output signal.

Thanks to the flattened hub in the hollow shaft, the potentiometers can be mounted directly on the drive shaft without torsion; a coupling is not required. Other features of the hollow shaft potentiometers include the ability to be used in a temperature range between -40 and +105 °C and protection class IP40.

If series production is required, the supplier can customize the potentiometers on request - for example with special rotation angles and resistance values, special tolerances for independent linearity or customer-specific housings.

More precise force measurements

The force sensors of the 'KT705' and 'KT805' series from Megatron have been equipped with analog electronics. This means that the force transducers also provide a negative output voltage or indicate when they are actuated in the opposite direction...
