The SRO 022 relay output module from Sigmatek expands the S-DIAS modular safety system. It can be used to switch higher voltages of up to 230 V/6 A in a safety-oriented manner.

The safety relay module for the top-hat rail has two safe, dual-channel outputs over a width of 25 mm and meets the safety requirements SIL 3 and PL e. The two outputs are used for the safety-related closing (NO) of a circuit with a permissible nominal voltage of 24 VDC/230 VAC and a maximum continuous current of 6 A.

The SRO 022 is used, for example, for switching higher power or isolated circuits such as hydraulic valves or for passing on emergency stop circuits. In combination with the S-DIAS Safety CPU, which controls time-correct communication with the safety modules via safe bus telegrams, very short response times are achieved.

Associated safety applications can be easily configured thanks to the extensive library in the Lasal Safety Designer. The safety function blocks are based on the PLCopen standard and can be easily placed using drag & drop.
