The SecurityBridge firewall from Pilz now also guarantees monitoring of the data communication of any other network participants outside the Pilz product family.
The firewall protects against possible data manipulation thanks to authentication and authorization management. Until now, users have been able to protect the configurable safe small controllers 'PNOZmulti' and the automation system 'PSS 4000' from Pilz 'securely' at application level. Now the firewall can also monitor network participants such as controllers from other suppliers. It checks the data traffic between PC and controller and reports unauthorized changes to the controller project.
In conjunction with the integrated VPN server and role-based user management, only users with the appropriate authorization can access the protected participants. A new feature is the 'packet recording' diagnostic function. It can be used to record data communication between participants from the protected control network and the unprotected network.
