Pilz at the SPS 2021
Safe motion monitoring functions in accordance with EN 61800-5-2
The safety card PMCprotego S3 extends the drive-integrated safe motion solution 'PMCprotego DS' from Pilz with additional safe motion monitoring functions to EN 61800-5-2.
With these functions, an application-specific error response can be configured in advance using the 'PASmotion' engineering tool. The safe motion monitoring functions include the safely monitored direction of movement (SDI-M), the safely monitored increment (SLI-M), the safely monitored speed (SLS-M) as well as the safely monitored operational stop (SOS-M), the safely monitored position (SLP-M) and the safely monitored speed range (SSR-M).
Communication takes place via the real-time Ethernet Safetynet p RTFL, which enables safe cross-communication between all drives equipped with a safety card in the application. The drive-integrated solution can also be connected directly to the small controller 'PNOZmulti 2' via Safetynet p. It is also open to common motor types and feedback systems and supports standard communication via Ethercat and Profinet.
