Monitor axles safely
The motion monitoring module PNOZ m EF 1MM2DO of the configurable small controller 'PNOZmulti 2' from Pilz also offers the functions cascading and delayed switch-off in the area of safe motion monitoring.
In conjunction with the base unit 'PNOZ m B0' or 'PNOZ m B1', the module from Pilz monitors an axis safely up to safety category PL e to EN ISO 13849-1 or up to SIL CL 3 to EN IEC 62061. It covers up to eight safe monitoring functions on an axis, for example Safe Stop, Safe Operating Stop or Safe Speed Limitation. In addition to the two safe semiconductor outputs, the module also has a cascading input and output. If the entire system goes into the stop state, a delayed shutdown can be configured via this integrated cascading and linked to other modules. The configuration for all motion events that can be set up via the module is carried out in the 'PNOZmulti Configurator' software tool: An independent module program (mIQ) is created for each module, which controls the safe digital outputs directly.
