With a diameter of just 38 mm and a length of 38 mm, the TWK sensor is suitable for installation in confined spaces; it weighs around 60 g. The safety encoder detects position and speed and meets the requirements of SIL 2 (IEC 61508) and PL d (EN 13849). The safety-related signals are transmitted via a certified Ethercat FSoE interface. The position resolution is 16 bits per revolution. The Ethercat FSoE interface is used to transmit the safety-related signals to the higher-level controller or to a safety relay and to program the sensor.

Thanks to the aluminum housing and the overall design, the sensor works even under unfavorable conditions such as vibration and shock loads.
