Ralf Winkelmann appointed to the Management Board
Ralf Winkelmann is a new member of the board of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association. The Managing Director of Fanuc Germany succeeds Helmut Schmid, formerly of Universal Robots.
Ralf Winkelmann, Managing Director of Fanuc Germany and Vice President of Fanuc Europe, has been appointed to the board of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association. He succeeds Helmut Schmid, formerly of Universal Robots, who has stepped down from the R+A Board for statutory reasons and would like to thank him for his successful and collegial cooperation.
Winklemann on his new role: "I see the expansion of new technologies in areas such as IoT, artificial intelligence and OPC UA as an essential part of maintaining the innovative capacity of German and European industry. It is particularly important to me that small and medium-sized companies also have access to these technologies. I am looking forward to making a contribution on the VDMA Robotics + Automation Board to advancing highly efficient production in Germany and Europe."
