Handheld operating devices
Communicate wirelessly
The HGW 1033 wireless handheld operating device from Sigmatek has an industrial-grade 10.1-inch multi-touch display (PCT). Wireless data transmission eliminates the need for meters of cable on the production floor.
The HMI is already equipped with safety functions: Enabling switch, key switch and an illuminated emergency stop button. When inactive, the button appears gray; a red illuminated mushroom button indicates that the device is correctly integrated into the system and the safety elements are ready for operation. Like the function-related data, the safety data is also transmitted via the standard WLAN network - albeit according to the black channel principle. The necessary visualization power is provided by a dual-core EDGE2 technology processor and the integrated battery pack, which guarantees 2 hours of continuous use of the mobile panel without recharging. The device supports OPC UA communication and has a USB interface as standard. It can optionally be equipped with an RFID reader. When fully equipped, the panel weighs 1500 g including safety elements and battery pack. Magnetic feet are attached to the handle unit on the back, allowing the HMI to be positioned on a machine part even without a holder.
