Open development architecture

With the Apax 5000 series, AMC offers a robust system for creating measurement and control systems.

It consists of a PLC/PAC controller, the bus couplers and the I/O modules for connecting the analog sensor technology and digital signals for recording the status messages and for switching the actuators on the control systems. In addition to the network integration of the controller, communication via WLAN or 3G is available for remote access and data transfer to higher-level monitoring and process control systems. The control platform with open development architecture combines control, data processing and networking in a single control system. The series has extensive I/O modules for analog and digital signal acquisition. A maximum of 32 modules can be connected to one system, either directly or via the 'Apax Local Bus' using an Ethernet cable. The PLC controllers in the series use the IEC 61131-3 standard programming languages from Codesys or Microsoft.net software to create the control application.
