Safety controls
Modular design
The FMSC (Fiessler Modular Safety Controller) from Fiessler with its modular concept can be flexibly adapted to the control task. Various master and slave devices are available for this purpose.
Each "FMSC" module has twelve inputs, four safe outputs and five standard outputs. A two-digit display for initial diagnostics and a USB port for online diagnostics round off the hardware profile of the safety controller. The modules are plugged onto a top-hat rail; if several modules are to be used in one application, they are connected to each other using backplane bus connectors. Familiar functions have been carried over from the predecessor controller "FPSC", such as the "shut down" function with a maximum switch-off time of 0.5 ms. What is new is that each input can now be parameterized for this function. This is done in the configurator of the "FMSC Studio" programming software. The safety controller can monitor up to 17 axes according to pl e. Another new feature is the parameterizable switch-off delay of the safe outputs.
