Robust emergency stop for mobile machines

In a joint project, the companies Data Panel and Georg Schlegel have developed a particularly robust emergency stop which, according to them, can withstand even the toughest operating conditions.

The IP69K combi pushbutton emergency stop is designed for use in mobile machines and special vehicles that are exposed to difficult environmental conditions. The overmoulded emergency stop has an IP69K protection rating on the front and is therefore equally protected against dust and water and can also withstand high-pressure cleaning. IP65 protection is guaranteed on the rear when the cable is connected. Inside, a Gore seal ensures that no moisture can penetrate, but at the same time allows air to pass through.

The plastic has also been optimized for outdoor conditions: The emergency stop is UV-resistant so that it does not fade even in the long term, but retains its signal yellow color, according to Georg Schlegel. As the DEUTSCH plug is often used in commercial vehicles and mobile machinery, the emergency stop has the compatible, high-pressure cleaner-resistant MDC04-4P plug interface with UV and abrasion-resistant PUR 4 × 0.75 mm² sheathed cable. The emergency stop is also available with an M12 connection, which enables easy integration into installation concepts with the common round plugs. The M12 connections with stainless steel screw are 4-pin and A-coded and have a vibration protection.
