Out of these, 178 young talents qualified for the final of the young talent competition with their 107 research projects. In the Heinrich-Lades-Halle in Erlangen, the inventors presented their projects in the fields of work, biology, chemistry, earth and space sciences, mathematics/computer science, physics and technology. Computer&AUTOMATION presents a selection of the ideas and projects with which they were successful this year:

"When it comes to shaping the world of tomorrow, it depends on them as bright minds, as young researchers," said Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister of Education and Research, at the award ceremony. Her appeal: "You will have the chance to take on responsibility, work for sustainable development and realize good ideas. Make use of your opportunities and try things out, dare to do something!" This year's national competition was organized by the Jugend forscht Foundation and Siemens.
