Proximity switch: Simple direct connection in Ex zone 0/20

The ATEX and IECEx-certified proximity switches of type IGEX20Pa from EGE withstand temperatures down to -60 °C and are suitable for direct use in gas and dust explosion hazardous areas thanks to their certification for Ex zones 0 and 20.

Examples include gas-conducting systems or filling stations. Polar proximity switches are now also available in versions with significantly simplified installation. Thanks to the 'encapsulation' type of protection, these versions can be used directly in Ex zone 0/20 without additional switching amplifiers.
EGE supplies the sensors with IP67 and IP68 protection in M12, M18 and M30 designs. Depending on the version, their nominal switching distances are 2 mm, 5 mm or 10 mm for flush installation. The connection is made via a 2 m long FEP cable; other cable lengths are available on request.
