Equipped with the supplier's 'ASIC' technology and an IO-Link interface, the sensors are particularly suitable for hygiene-critical applications due to their robustness. They reinforce the 'M18P' plastic housing series and are available with the same ASIC technology in diffuse, reflex, through-beam and background suppression versions (M18M only). They offer the same detection ranges and resistance to washdown and process fluids, and bring additional robustness to environments where mechanical shock and excessive vibration occur - thanks to robust chrome-plated brass housings (M12M) and stainless steel housings (M18M), each with shatterproof PMMA optics. IO-Link functionality is a free option for the sensors (PNP versions). They offer ranges of up to 1.2 m (diffuse sensor), 7 m (retro-reflective sensor), 30 m (through-beam sensor) and 250 mm (background suppression sensor).
