The Portable Monitoring System from Balluff consists of the Condition Monitoring Sensor BCM, a mobile gateway for data transmission via mobile radio and software for visualizing the data on any end device. It can monitor pumps, fans, motors or machine tools digitally and efficiently. The condition monitoring sensor also provides status data that can be used to plan maintenance and repairs in advance and automate cost-intensive manual inspections. It records vibration as well as temperature, humidity and ambient pressure.

To implement the system, the condition monitoring sensor is installed on the machine and connected to the gateway. The gateway is battery-operated and can therefore be used on the move. All the user has to do now is connect the power supply unit and log in to the online portal after registering. After logging in, the status of the monitored machine or system can be viewed anytime and anywhere, whether on the monitor in production or on the move on a smartphone or tablet. The software used for this can be started via the web browser. The user can manage the devices and users on a dashboard. The minimum and maximum values defined by the user for the monitored machine or system are displayed there, with an alarm signaling if they are exceeded or not reached.
