Connect drive technology directly

Balluff offers special Ethernet/IP network modules for assembly and conveyor technology. The IO-Link masters BNI00EF and BNI00EH enable the fast integration of different IO-Link devices into existing networks.

They have several ports with 4 A output current for connecting drive technology such as 24 V (DC) motors or electric stoppers. With their robust zinc die-cast housing with IP67 protection, they are designed for a decentralized system architecture outside the control cabinet. There they act as data compressors and help to reduce the number of network nodes to a minimum.

If these I/O modules are used in combination with IO-Link hubs, the signals of several binary and/or analog field devices can also be collected from the area and condensed to one port. According to Balluff, digital data transmission via IO-Link ensures high signal quality. Parameterization and error analysis of the IO devices are carried out in the controller as is typical for IO-Link.
The active distributors are available as versions with eight IO-Link ports (16x I/O) or four IO-Link ports (8x I/O). The dimensions are 68 mm x 37.9 mm x 220 mm or 37 mm x 32.6 mm x 224 mm.
