Read out data via IO-Link
Reliable and wear-free monitoring of the clamping process plays a central role in tool spindles and tool changers of a machining center. Balluff offers the BIP01 inductive position measuring system for this task.
The measuring system from Balluff provides extensive diagnostic data that can be read out via an IO-Link interface. In addition to the measured values, users also receive information on the device status or the current ambient conditions. An integrated stroke counter records the number of clamping operations and issues warnings if an adjustable limit value is exceeded. The operating hours counter permanently records the operating hours over the entire service life - both since the last maintenance and since the last switch-on. The measuring range is adjustable up to 17 mm.
