Hand and finger protection in mechanical presses
Contrinex has developed Ybes Extended Slim Type 4 safety light curtains especially for use in mechanical presses.
Contrinex light curtains with a housing profile of 26 mm x 26 mm can be installed in a space-saving and blind zone-free manner. Thanks to their compact design and 30 mm resolution, the safety light curtains are particularly suitable for use on mechanical presses, where operators no longer need to open physical safety grids or fences before loading or unloading the press. The safety light curtains are available with protective field heights from 170 mm to 1610 mm. They comply with protection category 4, PLe (EN/ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (IEC 61508) and have TÜV, CE and UL certification. As the safety light curtains also have an EDM input with relay monitoring function, users save the cost of wired relays. The light curtains can be easily configured and continuously monitored via the integrated Bluetooth interface and the 'ContriApp'.
