Inka Krischke,

For position or presence detection

Contrinex has developed what it claims are the smallest inductive miniature sensors available on the market with fully integrated electronics.

The inductive miniature sensors for position or presence detection are available in round stainless steel housings with diameters of 3 to 4 mm, in stainless steel housings with an M5 thread or in square stainless steel housings with an edge length of 5 mm. The 'MiniMini' sensors from Contrinex are particularly compact and are available from a size of 12 mm with diameters of 3 mm. Depending on the control system, the sensors can be supplied with PNP or NPN outputs as NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed) versions for detecting switching distances of up to 2.5 mm. An IO-Link interface for application-specific parameterization is also available for communication with the PNP-NO variants. The sensors work in an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 °C.
