Yaskawa continues to invest in Europe
The Japanese group Yaskawa is investing again in Europe: a total of 10,000 m² of production and office space is to be built in France and Sweden.
In Torsas, Sweden, the first Yaskawa Robotics site in Europe (since 1976), the existing administration building is being renovated.

"The two new projects are part of our long-term strategy for the Europe and Africa region. They will enable us to further expand our engineering and manufacturing capacities," says Bruno Schnekenburger, President Robotics Division Yaskawa Europe.

The new site will bring together the 'Drives, Motion and Control' and 'Robotics' product areas for the French market under one roof.
In addition to the construction project in France, the existing administration building in Torsås, Sweden, is also being renovated. A new 2,600 m² factory building and 300 m² of new office space are also being built. The new buildings are scheduled for completion at the end of 2018. In Sweden (Torsas) and Slovenia (Ribnica), Yaskawa will manufacture positioners, runways, fixtures and standardized welding cells for the whole of Europe and Africa. In addition, Yaskawa manufactures gripper technology for the beverage industry in Europe in Sweden. Yaskawa also develops and manufactures special robot systems for the automatic repair of wooden pallets from Sweden.
