Robotics division under new management

Yaskawa Europe GmbH has expanded its top management: Bruno Schnekenburger, previously President of the Robotics Division, has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer at the company's headquarters in Eschborn since September 1. His successor will be Marcus Mead (pictured).

48-year-old Marcus Mead has a degree in aerospace engineering.

As COO, Bruno Schnekenburger will devote himself in particular to the topics of Operation Excellence and Lean Enterprise as well as the completion and commissioning of the new robot plant in Slovenia. He will also continue in his role as Managing Director of Yaskawa Europe GmbH and will be represented on the company's Board of Directors.

Marcus Mead took over as President of the Robotics Division of Yaskawa Europe on September 1, 2018. Mead joined the company in March 2018 and was previously Vice President Operations. He has 27 years of experience in the aerospace, automotive and automation industries, gained at BAe, Magna International and Parker Hannifin Corporation. At Parker Hannifin, Marcus Mead headed the European Pneumatic Division for eight years and was also Managing Director of Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Austria.

The extended top management of Yaskawa Europe today consists of Manfred Stern (CEO), Bruno Schnekenburger (COO), Norbert Gauss (President Drives Motion Controls), Marcus Mead (President Robotics) and Jukka-Pekka Makinen (President of the Environmental Energy Division, which was integrated into Yaskawa Europe as a third division in March of this year).
