Mobile Industrial Robots and CSi palletizing cooperate

The aim of the collaboration between Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) and CSi palletizing is to speed up the internal material flow in companies. The companies presented an initial solution at Fachpack 2021.

The aim of the collaboration between Mobile Industrial Robots and CSi palletising is to facilitate the internal material flow for companies in the fast-moving consumer goods/consumer packaged goods (FMCG/CPG) sector. The first joint solution they presented at Fachpack 2021 was the Taros palletizer from CSi palletising with roller conveyor, which is integrated with the new MiR1350 autonomous mobile robot (AMR) from Mobile Industrial Robots. The MiR1350 is equipped with a top module with a roller conveyor for plate pick-up. This makes it possible to fully automate the transportation of heavy pallets in FMCG/CPG plants.

CSi palletizing from the Netherlands offers complete end-of-line palletizing solutions for some of the world's largest companies in the FMCG/CPG sector. So far, the company has integrated its Taros palletizer with roller conveyors to transport finished products directly to a stretcher or to the warehouse. For solutions without a direct roller conveyor connection, onward transportation at the customer's premises was often carried out manually. CSi palletising now integrates MiR's AMR to transport pallets for storage to a single conveyor or to the infeed of a pallet wrapper. The complete solution works seamlessly with the customer's automation systems (ERP/WMS).

The MiR1350 transports loads of up to 1,350 kg autonomously. Like the other AMR models from MiR, which can also work with CSi palletizing solutions, the MiR1350 navigates safely in dynamic environments. With the help of sensors, 3D cameras, laser scanning technology and 360-degree vision, it easily avoids mobile and static obstacles. The MiR1350 is designed to meet the latest industry safety standards, including ISO 3691-4 and ANSI/RIA R15.08-1-2020. The MiR 1350 and MiR600 are also the first autonomous mobile robots on the market to meet Ingress Protection52 (IP52). This means they are protected against dust and dripping water, are particularly robust and durable and ensure reliable operation at the end of production lines and in warehouses.
