Escha
M12 plug connector in hygienic design
Escha is launching an M12 connector family for the food and beverage industry. Instead of stainless steel, however, the company has opted for a plastic cover.
The food and beverage industry places high demands on hygiene and process reliability, which must be met from the machine to the connector. Special plastics and V4A stainless steel are used to ensure that the connection technology can withstand cleaning agents and disinfectants.
Escha offers a new variant of its connector family for the food and beverage industry. The company dispenses with stainless steel and instead opts for a cost-effective plastic cover in a so-called hygienic design, which prevents the formation of dirt pockets. The connectors with a plastic sleeve are therefore also suitable for the product contact zone.
Robust in three-, four- or five-pole version
The new plastic covers are extremely robust and can be tightened by hand or with a torque wrench. They comply with protection classes IP67, IP68 and IP69 and are resistant to Ecolab cleaning agents. They are used in a temperature range from -40 to +105°C.
The new plastic sleeves are available for M12 connectors in three-, four- or five-pole versions. There is a choice of three cable qualities, which can be combined with straight and angled plugs and sockets.
