Connectors: Transmission up to 10 Gbit/s
Binder has announced an X-coded M16 connector that can provide the transmission speeds required by today's sensor-based and automated production facilities.
The data transmission rate is 10 Gbit/s. Thanks to their robust design and resistance to environmental influences, the M16 connectors have established themselves in the connection of indoor and outdoor sensors that require a higher number of poles than is possible with M8 and M12 connectors.
In addition to cable plugs and sockets, the 415 series also includes built-in sockets that can be screwed in from the front. According to Binder, they achieve protection class IP67 when mated. The connectors in the series are fitted with eight gold-plated contacts, which can carry a current of up to 0.5 A at 50 V AC or 60 V DC, and can accommodate cables with diameters of 5.5 to 9 mm.
