Testing battery storage systems
With the Metracell BT Pro portable battery tester, Gossen Metrawatt offers a test system for testing battery storage systems for DC systems.
In addition to the required capacity tests, it can be used to carry out maintenance work in order to detect premature ageing of the battery and ensure the predicted performance. For this purpose, the tester measures the electrical and electrochemical resistance, which increases with increasing stress and battery ageing.
According to GMC Instruments, the battery tester can also be connected to a temperature sensor. Other functions include interval measurement, which can be used to simultaneously record the voltage of the battery block or system (up to 600 V) and the charging/discharging current. All required measurement tasks are supported by an integrated RFID transponder system.
